THE GREAT RECONNECTION - NOW IS THE TIME!

THE GREAT RECONNECTION! - NOW IS THE TIME!!

Numbers 18:7 But only you and your sons may serve as priests in connection with everything at the altar and inside the curtain. I am giving you the service of the priesthood as a gift. Anyone else who comes near the sanctuary must be put to death."

YOU ARE HOLY AND SET APART

The word Jesus uses for “holy” is a word that has two distinct meanings. (1) The root meaning means simply to “set apart.” In that basic use the word means to take something that is ordinary and make it special. It’s used that way in the O.T. when in the Ten Commandments it talks about the Sabbath being holy. Take the ordinary day, for the Jews it was Saturday, and set it apart for worship, rest and spiritual priority. It is used in the N.T. in describing Christians. 1 Peter 2:9 calls Christians “God’s holy nation.” A follower of Christ is set-apart by God’s forgiveness and should be set-apart from those who do not believe by the way they live.

- Because of our conditions and settings this will prohibit us from knowing this revelation in our spirit by the spirit

2Tim. 1:9 says that God has “saved us and called us to live a holy life.”

JESUS NAME IS ABOVE ALL AND GOD NAME HAS ALWAYS BEEN HOLY

A follower of Christ is set-apart by God’s forgiveness and should be set-apart from those who do not believe by the way they live. 2Tim. 1:9 says that God has “saved us and called us to live a holy life.”But Jesus chose the second meaning of the word “Holy”here. You see if Jesus has used the first meaning than God and His Name would of had to be first unholy or ordinary and be made holy or special. But God did not become holy. He is, always has been, and always will be “holy.”

RECOGNIZING THE CROSS AS OUR POWER

In our text, Paul writes to the church at Corinth about the wisdom of preaching the truth of the cross of Christ. Paul explains that those who are saved recognize the cross as a symbol of the power of God. But to those outside of the faith, the church seems to be involved in foolishness.

What is this foolishness of which Paul speaks? Maybe it’s the command to love your enemies or to pray for those who use you. Maybe it’s your belief that what you hope for will become evident through your faith. Maybe it’s your belief that you are blessed when men revile you and persecute you, and utter all manner of evil against you falsely. Now, notice in our text, it says, "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God”.

- Romans 10:14 reminds us that the first step to releasing the power of God is by hearing the Word of God. Hear the Word of God: ”How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
"And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
"And how can they hear without a preacher?”

- Verse 17 says this: “So faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”Singing, praying, testimonies and other forms of worship are inspiring to me, but it is the Word of God that connects us to our power source. It is the Word of God that directs me to the foot of the Cross.

THE POWER OF THE CROSS

When Paul spoke of the cross as the power source for Believers, he was not talking about anything else but when Paul spoke of the cross as the power source for Christians, he referred to what the cross symbolizes…that symbolism includes the sacrifice of Christ, His blood shed on Calvary, His death, burial, resurrection, and ultimately our salvation.

FROM SHAME TO GLORY AND POWER

The crucifixion of Christ transformed the cross from a symbol of shame and embarrassment to a symbol of the Mighty Power of God. The Cross-embodies this symbol because Christ’s death on the cross-blotted out all sin and man’s foolish laws from which there could be no redemption.

Example: What look to be an embarrassment God is switching it to Glory!

1. That shame that almost took you out - GOD IS SWITCHED IT
2. This very shame was the very times you wanted to RUN AWAY - GOD SWITCHED IT
3. This very shame was the lack of love made you feel abandon - GOD SWITCHED IT

GOD ERASED THE INK OF GUILT

Paul wrote in his letter to the Colossians, Chapter 2:14; “blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us which was contrary to us, (Christ) took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross.”But to those of us who are called, both Jew and Greek, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. Those of us who are believers know that, at the foot of the cross, we find our ability, our strength, and our power. That power lights our path. That power keeps us going when we would give up. That power heals us. Save us, and redeems us.

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR REGENERATING RESOURCE

Nehemiah 8:10 - neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Acts 20:24 - But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Our source of power, strength along with wisdom and direction is attached to JOY

(Point) - Disconnect yourself from devices that is going to setup stumbling blocks towards your course!

STAND IN YOUR RIGHT & GOVERNMENT

1. Don't just settle for a season (which is limited) but live in the bosom of your right in the father by FAITH!

2. Be instinct in season and out of season - Be the same at all times! Think the same at all times!

- Press through the storm!
- Keep your Joy!
- Maintain your Character & Integrity!

3. Know that your condition is a limited delusion - Override your condition by living in the spirit (Supernatural)

- Become wiser today then your yesterday!

Open up the GREAT AWARENESS of your governmental authority!

(Point) - Only employees can use employee discounts! Customers are allowed the ability to function through sales & clearances according to the time and season (This is limited access).

My Question it why would the employee not use his rights (Privileges as an employee)?
Does he not know that he is an employer?

My Conclusion
- The Enemy has been a modern day "Gehazi" shunning us away from the hidden truth! We were sent and meant to help out the troubled woman who's child was dead. There people in the body of Christ like the troubled woman who's baby (vision, purpose, ministry) is not breathing, that will become towards your feet. We must become coherent and aware through the Wisdom of Christ... If not, Gehazi (The deceiver, Delusional Pictures) will use conditions in your life so that you can't see your governmental estate and your Heavenly designed.

2 Kings 4:27 And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.

The Laws Of Management

January 03, 2010 Sunday Morning 11:00 am

Luke 16:1-13 (NIV)

The Parable of the Shrewd Manager

1 Jesus told his disciples: "There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions.

2 So he called him in and asked him, 'What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.'

3 "The manager said to himself, 'What shall I do now? My master is taking away my job. I'm not strong enough to dig, and I'm ashamed to beg— 4I know what I'll do so that, when I lose my job here, people will welcome me into their houses.'

5 "So he called in each one of his master's debtors. He asked the first, 'How much do you owe my master?'

6 " 'Eight hundred gallonsa] of olive oil,' he replied. "The manager told him, 'Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it four hundred.'

7 "Then he asked the second, 'And how much do you owe?' " 'A thousand bushelsb] of wheat,' he replied. "He told him, 'Take your bill and make it eight hundred.'

8 "The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.

9 I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.

10 "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?

12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own?

13 "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."

He called the debtors in one by one.

"How much do you owe?" "One hundred measures of oil." The steward said, "Then change it to fifty." Another debtor came to his desk. "What is your debt?" "One hundred measures of wheat." "Then take the pen and write down eighty." And so it went. When the master discovered this trickery, he was, believe it or not, impressed.Oh, he was disturbed. Certainly, he was angry. And the steward did lose his job. But, the master was also impressed.Jesus, author of this story, says there is something in the bad man’s action which is a good example. He said, "This fellow is a shrewd dude. He is a crook, but he is clever in a way you need to emulate."

POINT: Life, as he had experienced it, would soon be over. His days as a free-wheeling spender of another man’s wealth were ending. He took steps to prepare for living beyond.
Our Lord is teaching us lessons in life management.

"No matter how much or how little you may have in ability, opportunity, or wealth, you can manage your life in such a way as to be really rich."

If you would be truly successful, you must know that what you have, you have by the grace of God. You must know and live by the laws of life management. Then you will reap the rewards of life management.

What We Have, We Have By The Grace of GodThe principles of life management are built on the solid foundation of the grace of Almighty God.

In Ephesians 1, this foundation is spelled out in remarkable clarity. The Bible declares we have been selected by the Father because He loves us. We have been saved by the Son who died on the cross because of that love. We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit, assured of salvation forever, because of the love of our wonderful God and His grace.

Life management is not about getting into heaven. All who come to Christ will be in heaven. This is about reward in heaven. There is nothing you can do to save your soul except turn to God in repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

Life management is a principle only for Christians. It has to do with living life in such a way as to one day hear the Father say, "Well done, good and faithful servant.

Because you have been faithful in a very little thing, you will be in authority over very much." Successful living then demands that you know and keep the laws of life management.

The Laws Of Life Management

Law 1: Do your best with what you have.

It does not matter in God’s eyes how much you have but how well you handle it.
Barnabas is praised for his large gift of land to the early church. The widow is lauded by our Lord for her gift of less than a penny. Someone said, "I am but one ... but I am one. I cannot do much ... but I can do something.

What I can do ... I ought to do. What I ought to do ... by the grace of God, I will do."

Law 2: What we manage is not ours.

All of us are like the steward, handling for awhile the property of another. The Bible declares, "The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it." If it is true that which can be lost is not really owned (and it is), then not even our lives are our own. Then the steward was a slave. He belonged to his master.

"In Him we live and move and have our being." Life, breath, and all things come from Him.Our time, talents, and resources are all His, given by His grace and controlled by His providence. If we are Christians, we have accepted the fact that He is our loving Master, and we will give an accounting to Him.

Food for thought: People who embezzle their lives from God are stuck with what they stole. Life management is to do your best with what you have. It is to know that what we manage is not ours.

Law 3: The things we manage are not real.
In verse 11 is a heavy question: "So if you have not been trustworthy handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?" The wealth of this world is not real because it does not last.

The Bible says of one who lusts after the treasures of earth, "when he dies, he shall carry nothing away."

Successful life management is a matter of exchanging a life you cannot keep for a life you cannot lose. It is trading the temporary goods of this world for unending, secure treasure. No matter how much or how little you may have in ability, opportunity,or wealth, you can manage your life in such a way as to be really rich.
